Prayer Shawl Ministry The use of prayer cloths and shawls is based on Acts 19:11-12: “God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them.”
At Fellowship, we often work on Prayer Shawls during a Saturday morning at church or we work on them in our homes. We offer the shawls to the members of Fellowship, a local hospital, hospice, shelter, or charity. Knitters of all levels of experience are welcome. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month. Come join us!

BRIDGES of HOPE BRIDGES is our ministry linking God’s people who have a desire to help those in our community who need help. BRIDGES does not distribute money! Rather, it seeks to join those with needs in relationship with those who have gifts, skills, and a love for relationship. We hope to provide a meal and an auditorium filled with business people...lawyers, insurance agents, nurses and optometrist, carpenters, bookkeepers and real estate agents, etc. along with a prayer team from Fellowship. It is our dream to match people with skills and gifts to meet with and help those in need. The goal of BRIDGES is to help people with paying bills, making sound decisions, and providing safe relationships where they can be heard and will graciously be given common-sense advice when it is sought.
BRIDGES works in conjunction with a local Christian benevolent ministry called 211 Faith Community Service Fund. People receive an invitation to BRIDGES through this 211 Faith Community Service Fund connection. We seek to provide mentoring relationships.
The first session with those invited from the community--held in early June--was a huge success! About 50 people showed up. We shared a meal and talked with our guests about their needs and concerns. The second session will be held in early August of 2007.
